Besides the high cost of living? Traffic seems to be one of the biggest complaints but let’s talk it from someone that lives there:
There are so many positives to living in Palo Alto that I’ll just start with the negatives. Traffic can be a killer and it’s only getting worse, primarily going into Palo Alto in the morning and leaving in the evening. The cost of living, especially for homes, as obviously got to be the worst. However, the scenery is beautiful thanks to trees practically being placed every five feet and there are plenty of spectacular restaurants that are unfortunately very expensive to keep up with the cost of rent. The schools are spectacular academically, but that comes at the cost of there being lots of stress. The daily high also stays within the 55-85 degree range on 90-95% of days. Residents tend to be friendly and have formed many positive communities. It’s very easy to bike around town and everyone supports protecting the environment. A nearly perfect place to live or grow up if you can afford a home here. [Niche.com]
